History of the Department :

The department of Education is one of the choosable department of Balurghat Mahila Mahavidyalaya, most of the student.  It started its journey since 2010 pass course and Honours was started at 2013.  At present the department has only (SACT) teachers Sri. Sanjoy Shil

Course Offers & Student strength :

The department offers both General and 38 set of Honours course for the students. At present total (CBCS) three section ( I semis II semi & V semi ) 220  students studied  science in the department.

Co-curricular Activities :

Teachers of the department are not only  theoretical  but 3^rd  year Honours   have  50 marks Practical paper, So always tried to make girls a joy full an educational excursion for Mental Health & Mental Hygiene and Environmental Survey. The first excursion was start 2015 at Darjeeling. There four Bolpur Santinikatan etc. to held every year.

Online Classes and uses Mass media :

The department had organized online Classes, YouTube video, supply notes and   Special Lecture during the pandemic period to motivate and encourage students.

Our Future Plane :

Our future plan is to introduce field survey on Sanitation and Nutrition, excursion, Reporting on Seminar Presentation on Contemporary Issues of Education and online Webinar etc. Our plan is to give our students a free coaching which would help their to crack any kind of competitive examination.
